Legal — Privacy Policy & Terms

Last updated: October 2026

Part I — Privacy Policy

1. Digital Sovereignty & Privacy Philosophy

Your privacy and digital sovereignty are the foundational pillars of Imago. This policy explains how your voice recordings, memories, chat histories, and knowledge graphs are protected when using Imago across mobile and desktop platforms.

2. Core Privacy Architecture

Imago is built upon strict cryptographic and structural boundaries:

  • Isolated Neo4j Partitions — Your personal memory graph (/user/gathering), avatar reasoning network (/persona/avatar), and system automation tools (/system/jarvis) reside in separate, non-communicating sectors.
  • Voice Clone Sovereignty — Audio recordings submitted for neural voice modeling are processed solely to synthesize your personalized voice profile. We do not sell, license, or monetize your vocal likeness.
  • Zero Advertising Profiling — We do not sell your personal data, chat histories, or thought graphs to data brokers, ad networks, or commercial third parties.

3. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use Imago, you may voluntarily submit:

  • Audio Voice Samples — Natural speech recordings used exclusively to train your personal synthetic voice clone.
  • Chat Histories & Personal Documents — Text archives (such as exported WhatsApp threads or personal notes) provided to enrich your persona's vocabulary, humor, and opinions.
  • System Automation Parameters — System tool commands provided to Jarvis on desktop to control your local environment.

4. Data Storage, Encryption & Deletion

  • Encryption in Transit & At Rest — All synchronization between your client app and backend services uses end-to-end TLS encryption and encrypted databases.
  • Local Sovereignty & Export — Memory graphs and persona models can be exported as an encrypted "Legacy Crystal" for private offline archival by you and your family.
  • Right to Deletion — You hold absolute ownership of your persona and may inspect, export, or permanently delete your voice models and neural knowledge graphs at any time directly through the application settings.

Part II — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing Imago (on Android, iOS, Linux, or Windows), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Lawful Use of the Platform

Imago is designed for computer automation, personal knowledge mapping, and persona synthesis:

  • You agree to use the application exclusively for lawful personal, creative, and professional activities.
  • You must not synthesize personas of third-party individuals without their explicit, informed consent.
  • You must not utilize Jarvis desktop automation tools to execute harmful software, unauthorized intrusion, or malicious scripts.

3. Persona & Voice Ownership

  • You retain full moral and digital rights over your own voice models, personal memories, and associative graph databases generated through Imago.
  • You are free to export, archive, or transfer your "Legacy Crystal" vaults to designated beneficiaries.

4. Software License & Multiplatform Availability

  • Imago is provided under standard license terms for client software.
  • Core multiplatform binaries are distributed across official channels for supported desktop and mobile operating systems.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". While we strive for extreme fidelity in neural reasoning and voice cloning, synthetic personas represent probabilistic approximations of human reasoning and should not substitute for formal legal, financial, or medical counsel. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Animus Project is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software.
